For my first research task I'll be looking at five posters from different genres and will be annotating each of them, pointing out the conventions of the posters. I have chosen Hot Fuzz from the comedy and action genre, 10 Things I Hate About You from the romance genre, Lockout from the Sci-Fi genre, Shutter Island from the thriller genre and Juno from the drama genre. I'll be looking at a variety of genres so I can see if the conventions change or not depending on the genre of the film.
