Potential Poster Layouts
As I will be creating a poster, it would be beneficial for me to draw some potential poster designs. By looking through already existing posters as well as using my research of poster analysis and conventions of them, I have drawn four rough sketches as to the layout of them. I have tried to include as many of the conventions that deemed appropriate. By having these sketches, when I need to create the actual poster on Photoshop, it will help me not only decide what to put where but the orientation e.g. landscape or horizontal as well as the overall design.

Potential Magazine Covers - Detailed Sketches
Now that I have drawn some potential magazine cover layouts, I need to draw more in depth versions of them. Here I have the tag lines, masthead, tag line, banners, dominant cover line, barcode, date, price, issue number and other images, all conventions of magazine covers that I have found. By drawing the actual potential covers, it has helped refine my ideas for it and I'm sure that it will greatly assist me when I create the cover on Photoshop. I have made sure to use all of the conventions for magazine covers as well as regularly comparing mine to existing publications such as Sight & Sound to make sure that what I am creating looks authentic and is as real to life as possible (apart from the poor sketching skills).
